Despite the somewhat stilted dialogue the plot itself is an absolute snooze. The demon-filled ending is the finest part of this novel and keeps you interested.
The first two Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark films are much like the original. Although the film does not give you the excitement that the previous films offered, it is a the same premise but with a more realistic setting.
